In 2019 everything was ‘on hold’ and Sue got back to Suus, first time parenting, nurturing and growing into mother/parenthood.2020 Sue went back to writing, demo’ing new ideas. Then pre-productions with bass player Jaimie van Hek; in a quiet Amsterdam, while coping with lockdowns and canceled dates. After even a longer live-break (2nd lockdown) and basking in family life, a big reset fell upon the songwriter.
The joy of not to ‘be visible’ and being merely offline and safe at home was tempting to continue. But new plans had to be made: the songs were begging for a band! With Victor Dirks on the drums, Jaimie on bass and Sue piano or guitar, the songs we’re getting in their ‘live-feel’. She gathered a new group of musicians to complete the band, then went into the studio of Viktor van Woudenberg and recorded the new music bit by bit.
First single OCEANS (You Might Go) released 19.05, is a song about new experiences and adventures; diving into the great unknown.
